Hiedler Langenlois Riesling

Every Austrian wine-growing village is unique due to its geography, geology, and wine culture. This wine comes from the historic sites of Langenlois, the center of the Kamptal region, with the village wine (Ortswein) tradition being centuries old.  The Riesling vines grow on the terraced slopes northwest of the village, on crystalline and metamorphic rock soils (Urgestein), predominantly gneiss, amphibolite, granite, mica schist, and quartz. This elegant Riesling, bottled after six months on the lees, is characterized by a delicate stone fruit aroma and a juicy and salty minerality. It unmistakably reflects its origin and the palates of the people who live here.
