Domaine du Salvard Cheverny Rouge

As the fall weather shifts and the air has a frosty chill, I appreciate a comforting glass of red wine.  Domaine du Salvard Rouge offers just that.  As a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay, this wine isn’t hefty or tannic, but rather the opposite.  It displays vibrant and concentrated red and dark fruit, bright acidity and smooth, juicy tannins.  The fruit profile is enhanced by a soft earthiness, and subtle herbal and floral character.  A slight chill to this red enhances the freshness so I suggest bringing the wine down in temperature before pouring.  Pop it into the fridge for 30 min before serving.

Domaine du Salvard has been a working domaine in Cheverny, Loire Valley, France since 1898, through five hardworking generations of the Delaille family.
