Zuccardi Concerto Malbec

This malbec comes from vineyards planted beside the impressive Zuccardi winery in Altamira in 2009, and in 2014, it was the first wine to be made there. The 2020 vintage - unoaked and 100% whole-cluster vinified in concrete containers - comes from a warm season, and you can sense a bit of that here, but what dominates is the sensation of verticality and tension in a red that has a layer of ripe red fruit and succulence, although always with nerve. It never loses that tannic strength, that grip that lends energy and brilliance
