Clos de L’Eveche Pinot Noir
A beautiful expression of Pinot Noir and a bottle that proves why the world is in love with red wine from Burgundy, France. You honestly can’t go wrong here. Fresh and crunchy nose of concentrated red berries (dark cherry, raspberry) and dark fruit (blackcurrant, black berry) with soft floral notes and just the right amount of earth. The palate is vibrant with fresh acidy, soft tannins and a velvety smoothness. This is an easy drinking Pinot Noir that is very food friendly. It’s perfect to share with friends or open to enjoy throughout the week as this wine can last a couple of days if refrigerated after opening.
Domaine de l'Evêche has a winemaking tradition dating back to the 17th century. The land, which had been a vineyard since the Middle Ages, has five hectares of carefully selected Pinot Noir planted, in addition to small plots of Chardonnay and Aligoté. Domaine de l'Evêche is pursuing quality improvement through investment in new equipment, meticulous care in the vineyards, and controlled aging in the cellar. They carefully explain their work and winemaking philosophy to visitors, and offer wines that embody their history, passion, and challenges for the future.
