Ghost Rock Supernatural Cellar Rat

Cellar Rats are the heart-beat of the winery. The bounce in their step. The shoes in their shuffle. They're the next generation of stars who are given their chance to make their mark whilst at Ghost Rock. They are the budding winemakers given the chance to create Cellar Rat each year.

This year Ghost Rock's cellar rat was home grown, rather than a visiting international. Liam Quaile from the Cradle Coast created this delicious skinsky Gris by pouring already fermenting Pinot Grist juice onto freshly de-stemmed tubs of Pinot Gris berries, and stirred them up twice a day. Once dry, he pressed and aged them in neutral oak barrels. The result - a deliciously juicy orange wine, not full on skinsy, with just the right amount of phenolics and flavour. This wine is unfined and unfiltered. Bottled with low SO2.
