The story of Laroche is a story of boldness. In the 1850s, the family purchased a former monastery property in Chablis, Burgundy, and over the many years evolved into a standard bearer for the potential of the Chablis region, responsible for having created a charter of excellence for Chablis Grand Cru producers.

Not content to simply rest on the Domaine’s Chablis laurels, in the 1990s, the house made a strong strategic choice: to establish itself in the South of France, in the heart of Languedoc, with Mas La Chevalière, near Béziers. This region offers a diversity of unique terroirs and climates with a selection of high-altitude and maritime-influenced vineyards offering cool climates and limestone soils. All these elements allow Chardonnay to express itself with a Chablis-like precision, elegance, and freshness.

Drawing from 15–25-year-old established hillside vineyards, this unoaked white wine is aged 5 months in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit and maintain the lively, fresh acidity.

Laroche Chardonnay is a fresh, crisp and dry white wine offering bright citrus notes, along with white peach, green apple and white blossom impressions that are all lifted with lively acidity and refreshing minerality. The lightly saline finish lingers on the palate like a fond memory of a seaside excursion.
