The Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill, the prestige cuvée of Maison Pol Roger, was created in homage to Sir Winston Churchill, drawing inspiration from the qualities he valued in Champagne: robustness, structure, and maturity. While its exact composition remains a closely guarded secret within the family, it undeniably stems from a principle its dedicatee would surely have embraced: "My tastes are simple; I am easily satisfied with the very best," he was fond of saying. Composed exclusively of grapes from Grand Cru vineyards of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this cuvée is produced only in limited quantities and in the finest vintages. The predominance of Pinot Noir unquestionably ensures the structure, fullness, and robustness of the whole, while the Chardonnay lends it elegance, finesse, and a touch of audacity.
